Eeach partner school develops a science project focusing on two out of twelve
great European thinkers who dealt in a special way the relationship between
science and life (philosophy ).
There will be an agenda specifying the period assigned for such work. This
work has to be as much interdisciplinary as possible and developed on many
different grounds so that it can involve a historical and social background,
remarking the situation before the great scientist or philosopher and the
influences he exerted on the future societies, on customs and mentalities,
all this using a variety of materials and freedom of styles .Each school can
decide the way they want to use to show their final product: a traditional
one, an alternative one or using modern technologies. In any case it is essential
that all the products can be presented outside the schools by the website.
In this way we can learn from each other. The role of teachers once again
will be the promoter of such initiative ( to be inserted in the school curriculum
for the classes engaged ), the one who selects and provides materials, but
then he will be the supervisor, ....not more...not less.
When the single results will be shown, it will be the starting point for a
debates among school students and teachers on the Internet website.
This task is aiming at emphasising the common roots of European thought and
should produce a greater awareness in students we are all coming from a common
origin which is beyond geographical ( or political ) frontiers. We expect
that this part of the project may serve as a good platform for studying future
aspects of of SCIENCE, and not only.
